HEET Energy Champions
Can your community group host a trained Enfield Energy Champion?
Would your community or voluntary organisation like to be part of the Enfield Energy Champions programme by nominating a member of staff or regular volunteer as an energy champion?
HEET is working with Enfield Voluntary Action to create a network of energy champions who are embedded in community groups across Enfield, with the aim of tackling fuel poverty and reducing carbon emissions that harm the environment.
We know a lot of local residents contact their trusted local community groups for help and advice. The Enfield Energy champions scheme will increase the quality of advice and support that local groups can give on fuel poverty and energy efficiency.
Your nominated energy champion will go through an accredited training course so they have the skills and knowledge to help any of your group’s members or clients who are facing fuel poverty problems.
The champions will also be able to refer people to a dedicated fuel debt advice service provided by Citizens Advice Enfield and get access to specialist energy efficiency advice and support from HEET.
Funding will be available later in the programme for groups that would like to set up projects around their energy champion.
